I kept hearing and seeing the word “jeggings” everywhere. Apparently I don’t get out enough since I had no idea what they were and finally resorted to googling/Swagbucking for an answer. All I knew was that they are something women wear.
Finally, the mystery was solved.
Jeggings are defined as leggings which are made to look like tight denim jeans.
The concept makes perfect sense. Leggings are comfortable. Tight jeans are not.
Since they are typically made of a denim/spandex blend and simply resemble regular tight pants, they are often worn on their own as opposed to under a skirt or dress. Some jeggings have faux zip-flies and pockets, while others just have an elastic waistband and no pockets.
Paired with an oversized shirt or sweater, I might just be able to pull off this look as a mom of three.
So… the question is… can a mom wear jeggings? Or should I just leave it to the teenagers?
